Aavakaiku creates improvised sound art with electronic and acoustic instruments. The duo combines expressive, surprising and atmospheric elements, playing with different sounds and tunes. The performances are experiential and unique, as the sonic journey is created in the moment, with no predetermined direction.
The Aavakaiku has performed at the Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere in Jukka Mäkelä's exhibition, Arthouse Cinema Niagara, Siirtymä and Mitäs mitäs mitäs festivals, Pethouse, Pirkkala Church, Purkutaidetalo Pinni47, among others:Gallery Himmelblau, Studio Liikelaituri, Tahmela Villa, Satakunta Museum, Lempäälä and Sastamala Main Libraries and Merikarvia Gallery Wanha Savu. It has also produced several sound art performances at Culture House Laikku.
The next performance will take place on Saturday, October 10, as part of the "Dark Museum" event at the Ylöjärvi Museum from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
