There is an old saying: he who believes in his dreams is a prisoner of his shadows. The saying warns against over-interpreting dreams, but can it also apply to the observations and interpretations we make while we are awake? Do we fear in vain? Is more possible than we think?

"He who believes in his dream" is a performance in which imagination and reality are mixed in movement and sound. The audience is asked how do dreams and reality ultimately differ? The illusionary movement and deeply atmospheric soundscape make it difficult to answer this question. The performance is a structured improvisation. The sound and movement, reflecting experiences of discovery, loss, wonder and discontinuity, are created as the performers immerse themselves in the dream world in which the performance takes place. The Aavakaiku creates images of the dream world through sound art, and Mikko's dance takes us on a journey to the boundaries of dream and reality.

The ghostly echo is an improvised sound art ensemble with electronic and acoustic instruments that combines expressive, surprising and atmospheric elements, playing with different sounds and tunes. In impressive and experiential performances, listeners are invited to dive into their own imaginations.

Mikko Tamminen is a dancer and performer from Tampere. His background is in street dance, where popping and related styles, especially animation and waving, are visible in his movements. Mikko wants his dance to open the minds of his audience and remind them of the wonder of everything.
